Spring in Jordan is a short season, lasting only 3 to 4 months its the only time during the year where you can go out into the wild without the boiling sun ruining your day! it's also the only time where you get to see Jordan so green and colourful.

Umm Al Namel Valley

Enjoy this epic scenery in spring while the valleys and mountains flourish in green, a rare view in Jordan that you can only see in Spring. It is known among Jordanians as Teletubies as you can see from the pictures below there is quite the resemblance.

You can spend the day there by hiking down its valleys and enjoying a wonderful picnic. There are little trees in the area for shade so I would definitely advise to take an umbrella to take cover from the sun during your picnic and a hat for your hike.

Pella

Situated in the Jordan valley, Pella is a wonderful day trip you won't regret.

Three things to do:

  1. Enjoy the scenery drive and stop to have a quick coffee and soak up the view

  2. Learn the history while observing the ruins at the historical sight of Pella

  3. After the ruins hike up to this beautiful restaurant Pella Rest House

King Talal Dam

The King Talal Dam is a large dam in the hills of northern Jordan, the dam is named after the late king Talal of Jordan. It's the perfect place for a hike and picnic.

The Dead Sea - Lowest Point On Earth

My favourite place since I was a kid! There are a lot of ways you can enjoy the lowest point of earth!

  • Hotels & Resorts: One night is more than enough to get the experience. Soaking up the views, swimming in magical infinity pools, putting on the infamous mud then floating in the sea. My hands down favourite best hotel is Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea I will be doing a whole blog post with further details comparing the hotels, so stay tuned!

  • Not in the mood to stay for two days? No worries! You can drive further away from where the hotels are situated and hike down to see these white salty beaches that unfortunately no hotel has so far.

CAUTION: Just a piece of advice, the salt can be harsh on your skin so make sure to bring plenty of clean water and towels! And to wear sensible shoes for the hike down!

  • Restaurants: If you don't want to float but only observe the beautiful views of the dead sea you can enjoy lunch at Samarah Mall or go to panorama dead sea complex. Samarah has better food and variety whereas Panorama has the BEST view you won't regret it!

  • Want to stay a night but bored of hotels? Well Mujib Chalets is the answer for you!

The Red Sea - Aqaba

Check in to one of the many hotels in Aqaba that reside in front of the red sea or check out the new hotels that are in the newly built oasis Ayla.

Umm Qais

At Umm Qais you can take a step back in time and learn about the roman ruins at the historical sight. After that you can lay back and enjoy a meal at Romero Restaurant { Umm Qais Rest House } that overlooks the ruins, Lake Tabaria and the Golan Heights
