1. Weymouth and Durdle door, Dorset:

Durdle door, Dorset, England.

Take a train from Bath to Weymouth and enjoy the quiet seaside town in Dorset with its Georgian houses and sandy beaches. This place sure made it on my list for where I want to live after retirement! It’s the perfect relaxing getaway you need.

Take a short bus trip from the beach and head to the infamous Durdle door another beach on the Jurassic coast, with its sparkling turquoise waters this is a place you definitely don’t want to miss. The picture really says it all!

Note: Make sure to eat at Weymouth considering the lack of restaurants at Durdle door and the long walk down to the beach, be prepared!

2. Warleigh Weir, Somerset:

Warleigh Weir, Bath, Somerset, England.

It's a 20-30 min walking from the University of Bath and the walk is a must to admire the beautiful surrounding countryside.

3. Bristol city:

Bristol, England.

With this beautify city being only 15 mins away by train from Bath, you can easily come and go as you wish with no trouble!

The three musts see for a day in Bristol definitely are;

Cabot circus, here you can have a look at the wide variates of shops & restaurants. Don’t forget to check the Christmas market if your visiting in December!

Bristol harbourside is without doubt my favourite area in Bristol.

The relaxing atmosphere gives a very different vibe from the busy city.

There’s just something calm of being next to water, and with the lovey designed area that has been well taken care of you can check out the various restaurants, cafes and street markets, also the beautiful residence areas are not be missed!

The Clifton suspension bridge has amazing river and nature views and is perfect for a small hike or even a picnic on a summer day!

Note: If you love walking to your destination to get a sense of the city, you’re visiting then I suggest you walk to all three destinations it’s a bit of a walk (20-30 mins) from street art, parks, local shops and neighbourhoods you will get a sense of how life in Bristol is.

4. London:

Although it needs more than a day but seeming of how close it is to Bath you could go more than once and tick places of your list!

5. Cardiff, Wales:

Mermaid Quay, Cardiff.

is probably the easiest place to navigate everything is so close to each other!

From the train station we did the following:

1. Breakfast in Cardiff centre

2. Visit the Arcade

3. Walk to Cardiff castle

4. Take a ferry to mermaid bay from the park next to the castle.

5. Admire the beautiful mermaid bay area and dine.

6. Bournemouth:

Bournemouth beach, England.

From sandy beaches to restaurants to activities such as zip lining the Bournemouth beach area really has it all! I would definitely recommend taking the ferry to visit brown sea island.
